What Do I Think?

Oh-em-gee, let me tell you about Via Roma, one of the best Italian restaurants I have ever been to in Maryland! In case you haven’t heard about it or are curious about going, I got you covered. From the moment you walk through the door, you are greeted with such warmth and friendliness from the staff that it feels like you’re walking into your own home. The atmosphere is open and inviting, with the owners Biagio and Tony, and an eclectic group of regulars who make you feel like part of the family. Don’t be surprised if you see me when you go. For those of you who love Olive Garden, this is where you go to step up your game.

The Drinks

Now, let’s talk about the drinks at Via Roma. The bartenders here are true masters of their craft, and they’re always ready to make a signature cocktail or something special just for you. Did I mention the happy hour yet? Everyday from 3-6pm you can enjoi a variety of drinks and eats for a great price. And guess what? Every Wednesday, you can get bottles of wine for half off!  Trust me when I say that you won’t be disappointed.

The Food

And now, onto the main event—the food. Oh my goodness, where do I even begin? Via Roma serves up the most mouthwatering, authentic Italian cuisine that will transport you straight to the streets of Italy. Every dish is made with fresh and high-quality ingredients, resulting in flavors that are out of this world. From their homemade pasta to their perfectly cooked pinsas, every bite is a taste of pure heaven. Whether you’re in the mood for a quick and satisfying lunch, celebrating a birthday, or you want a nice place for date night, Via Roma has got you covered. The menu offers a wide variety of options that will please even the pickiest of eaters. Believe me, I’m pretty picky so that’s how I know. My faves are the hummus and the lobster ravioli, you’re welcome.

The Vibe

If you’re looking for a place to turn up, this isn’t the place for you. Via Roma has a classic chill vibe, that will have you feeling like you’re over a friend’s house. The music plays at a reasonable level so you can enjoi great conversations without having to yell. Listen to jazz, soul, and contemporary music as you sip and mingle with a laid-back, professional crowd. If you come during the busier times, you’re sure to meet someone and just vibe. People are friendly and just want to have a good time.

Pros

  • The attentiveness. The staff always remembers me and what I like to order. They also make sure that you get your food cooked the way you want it.
  • It’s a neighborhood spot. You’ll see lots of regulars and get to know some really good people.
  • The staff is well-mannered, and they have excellent customer service. I can’t stress how important this is to me.

Cons

For me, it’s the fact that is closes early. Also, sometimes I wanna go on Monday, but sadly they’re closed. So that’s it. There’s literally nothing that I don’t like, besides the fact that I wish it were open longer.

The Verdict

It’s a go! If you are in Camp Springs (known to most as Suitland) and looking for an unforgettable Italian dining experience, look no further than Via Roma. As long as I’m in the area, I will be coming to Via Roma. This place truly is a hidden gem that deserves all the praise it gets. Don’t just take my word for it. Read the reviews. The warm and friendly staff, the incredible drinks, and the mouthwatering Italian cuisine – it all adds up to an experience that will keep you coming back for more.  So go ahead, try it out, and prepare to be blown away by the magic of Via Roma.
